Here is one for those of you who are superstitious. As a matter of fact I am not but I do sometimes notice odd coincidences such as the one I am about to relate...
My first daughter was born on June 2, 2001. As most people on this planet can remember, it was just a few months later when the catastrophic event known simply by it's date 9/11 happened, visiting man made destruction on a great American city.
My second daughter was born on May 20, 2005. As most people on the planet know, it was just a few months later on August 29 when another cataclismic event occurred, Hurricane Katrina visited it's destruction on another great American city.
As it happens, I noticed that June 2 and May 20 are separated by 13 days. So are September 11 and August 29. Each birth precedes the catastrophic event by 101 days.
When I first saw this coincidence I mentioned it to Susan, and although we had already made the decision to not have anymore kids, we jokingly told our friends and family that we were going to "do the world a favor" and not have any more children.
Alas, God had other plans and our newest little one was born on October 22, 2007. As the math works out, 101 days later will be January 31, 2008.
What you do with this information is up to you. As for me it will be just another day. But I might buy a snowshovel just in case.

lol...I will be a regular reader...with your history and family it will be interesting. I've enjoyed your nephews blog for some time. Maybe just being a Dad of three girls will be enough to keep you on your knees...I know that being the Mom of three boys sure did for me!
life anywhere but my knees would be futile... I can accoplish a lot "down there". First it is a good place to meet with God, then it is also a good place to get eye to eye with three little girls.
I don't know of anything major that happened in the world on 31 Jan except that I just found out that a friend had a major car accident that day... By the way, I just gave you a meme tag -- I look forward to reading your answer!
